PLEASANT HILL, Mo. - The National Weather Service is wrapping up Severe Weather Preparedness Week, by focusing on one of the deadliest forms of severe weather. While some might think it's tornadoes, it's actually flooding.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Jimmy Barham told KXCV/KRNW that it doesn't take much for flash flood waters to become dangerous.
That's why if you're in your car and come up on a flooded road, the National Weather Service says turn around, don't drown.
